No new fun parks or cool photo shoots to post about today… I’ve been taking lots of pictures, but mostly of my kids and stuff around the house (just working on getting everything right in-camera). Nothing major going on…, but here’s a quick run-down of our life these past few days:
A good friend came back from Afghanistan this past weekend and he hung with us for a bit. I took some cool pics when he was here, but I’m still working on those. It was great to see him and we’re so glad he made it back safe and sound…and even happier that he’s finally outta here on his way to see his family.
Trey plays outside with the neighborhood kids almost everyday and just loves it. LOVES it.
Trey is STILL obsessed with the beetles… he and the little girl from next door go searching almost everyday. These happen to be the very posh home that they’ve so graciously provided courtesy of my kitchen ![]()

Like mother like son…
Trey practicing his gymnastics moves…

I bet you guys thought he had disappeared didn’t you? I hardly ever put pics of this member of the family on here, but I was feeling froggy, so there ya have it. For those of you that have never met this ball-o-madness-turned-grumpy-lazy-man… this is Thor. We adopted him when he was about 2 years old (he’s now 10 or 11 I think). He used to be my baby…then I had a baby..and now he’s my pain-in-the-ass.
A few funny facts about my canine: he’s deathly afraid of garden hoses, he used to be on a completely vegetarian diet b/c of his skin, he refuses to go out to pee if its raining and will hold it for days if it’s monsooning (I don’t know how he does it), he barks at other dogs like he’s a real pit, but then tries to jump on and get comfy in all our furniture like he’s a lapdog.
My kid wears his crocs so much that you’d think they were attached to his feet permanently. Don’t get me wrong though, it IS nice having a shoe that he can just slip on and I know it’s a halfway decent shoe… but still… they are just so ugly (despite the ugly factor, everyone in this household has at least one pair…they’re addicting b/c they’re comfy). Does anyone else have this problem?
While Noah was sleeping today we played outside a bit…threw the ball and colored with sidewalk chalk. Sidewalk chalk totally brings out the kid in me. I went a little crazy (see below):
We had fun though. Oh…and I just found the ‘level’s adjustment in Photoshop. Love it. Colors are brighter and punchier. Fun stuff.
Here are the two balls we were playing catch with. The first one is super cheap and didn’t last long before the seams started ripping.
It seems that every pic I post of Noah these days he’s sitting in his bouncy chair. Weell, to be honest, mommy loves the bouncy chair too b/c then I don’t have to hold him or strap him to my chest. And he seems to like it…especially outside which works for me!
And in bigger news. We finally upgraded TV’s. We’ve had the same 27″ tube TV since before we got married…7 years maybe. The thing was on it’s last leg (after 4 moves) so it was time for it to gooo. Ignore the messy house, but this is our new living room!
More to come….
